The event, held at Innovate Carolina Junction, invited guests to observe 21 AI-generated art pieces. Attendees also had the opportunity to work with UNC student volunteers to create and print their own AI art pieces.

The Optimus Awards AI Art Competition was created by William Ammerman, who teaches an Emerging Technologies course at the UNC Hussman School of Media and Journalism.
