About
The Optimus Awards AI Art Competition is excited to announce a first-of-its-kind Triangle-area art showcase at Innovate Carolina Junction! In addition to viewing an exhibit featuring 21 AI-generated artworks, attendees will be able to create and take home prints of their own unique art, designed in real-time at workstations hosted by UNC student volunteers who have been immersed in a semester-long Emerging Technologies course taught by William Ammerman at the UNC Hussman School of Media and Journalism. Ammerman founded the Optimus Awards AI Art Competition and offers a $100 daily prize to encourage the public to explore the positive uses of generative AI.
